Hi, and bonjour from Canada. I’m Scott MacDonald, a Quebec-based writer with more than a decade of experience writing about online spaces where clarity and trust matter.

A big part of that journey has been in iGaming, where I’ve spent years looking closely at platforms, regulations, player frustrations, and the details that shape the Canadian experience. But over time, my interests have grown into the wider digital world too. From crypto and platform credibility, to the operational and regulatory questions that sit behind the user experience.

What keeps me interested is rarely just the surface-level pitch. It is the structure underneath how platforms operate, how verification is handled, how terms are framed, how regulation affects real people, and how all of that can either build trust or undermine it.

Today, I write research-led, easy-to-understand content across iGaming, digital platforms, and adjacent spaces where readers want more than noise.

I’m also proudly Canadian, and that part of me matters too. Living in Quebec has shaped the way I see readers, culture, and communication, and I think that personal lens belongs in the work just as much as the research does.
